DISCOVER AMERICA PAVILIONS

Often the first contact an international traveler or travel professional has with America is at an international travel show, where the U.S. must compete with national pavilions organized by well-funded NTOs. Therefore, it is critical that the U.S. industry unites and uses its limited resources wisely at international travel & tourism events to present the United States as the world’s premier travel destination.

Participation in branded U.S. Pavilions provides U.S. travel & tourism destinations and organizations with an in-country opportunity to interact face-to-face with their primary buyers through cost-effective participation alternatives. The Discover America brand serves as a unifying element for the whole industry; it positions and promotes the United States, and serves as a quality standard for representing U.S. travel & tourism interests abroad.

B-FOR promotes international travel & tourism events as efficient media for promoting inbound U.S. travel, and - in cooperation with the Travel Industry Association (TIA), the U.S. Department of Commerce U.S. Commercial Service, and Visit USA/Discover America organizations around the world - has developed Discover America Pavilions tuned to the industry’s and the international markets’ needs.

Discover America Pavilions organized by B-FOR International aim to:

Brand, position, and promote the United States in high priority inbound markets as the world’s premier travel destination

Integrate U.S. participation at international travel & tourism events in the global, regional, and national marketing of the United States

Improve America’s image around the world and reverse the decline in U.S. share of world tourism

Manage the U.S. image as it is presented at international travel & tourism events

Manage the use and positioning of the Discover America brand and establish Discover America Pavilion quality standards at international travel & tourism events

Create customer- and user-friendly U.S. environments at international travel & tourism events, for the trade and public alike

Encourage industry cooperation and leverage support from the U.S. Department of Commerce U.S. Commercial Service and Visit USA/Discover America organizations

Provide the U.S. travel & tourism industry with cost-effective means to reach targeted international audiences through all-inclusive Booth Packages with exhibit space, carpeting, furnishings, lighting, exhibitor signage, and access to the Discover America Pavilion Hospitality Lounge and Business Services for one low price
